Chong Sun Wood Products Pte Ltd (CSW) was incorporated in Singapore on 07 April 1984 under the name of Chong Sun Construction Pte. Ltd. The company was set up as a result of an expansion into Singapore by Taiwan based Today Lumber Co. Ltd. The name change of the company took effect from 30 May 1984.

CSW was initially manufacturing doors and door frames for export markets, especially in Taiwan and Middle East. When the gulf war started in 1990, the whole export business came to an end. In the same year, the management took a strategic decision to penetrate the local condominium markets by supplying wooden products to the developers and main contractors. On 1st November 1996, CSW achieved one of its quality milestones when it was awarded ISO 9002 certification. By 2000, the competition for the local market intensified and the management decided to move its production line to Johor Malaysia to enjoy the lower operating costs over there. This move helped the company to survive the tough economical situation in Asia. CSW is totally committed and delicated to meeting the requirements of our customers and to continual improvement at all levels and within all functions of our organisation so as to satisfy the needs of our customers. On 12th June 2002, CSW’s quality standards were once again recognized when it achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification in the area of manufacture and installation of wooden doors and related products. Currently CSW captures at least 60% of the market shares in Singapore.
